Practice dashboard
Every client’s return, on one screen
Filing season is a tracking problem before it is a tax problem. The dashboard opens on the whole client roll for the assessment year you choose: what each one files, what the return computes to, and how far it has got.
| Client | Type | Form | Total income | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| R. Kumar | Individual | ITR-1 | 7,75,000 | Draft |
| S. Traders | Firm | ITR-5 | 32,00,000 | Filed |
| A. Desai | Individual | — | — | Not started |
| K. Kumar HUF | HUF | ITR-2 | 16,50,000 | Draft |
| 4 clients | 1 filed |
Five states, and the one that matters
A return in this software is always in exactly one of five states, and the grid shows all of them together rather than making you open each client to find out.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not Started | A client on the roll with no return opened for this year. |
| Draft | Data is going in; the return is being prepared. |
| Ready | Computed and validated; the JSON can be downloaded. |
| Filed | Uploaded to the e-filing portal, acknowledgement recorded. |
| Verified | e-verification complete. The year is closed. |
The state worth building a screen around is the first one. A client who has not started is invisible in a folder-based practice until somebody remembers them; here they sit in the same list as everyone else, with the count on top.
Filtered the way a season is actually worked
The grid searches by name, PAN or the client code your firm uses, and filters by status and by ITR form, so “every ITR-3 still in draft” is one click rather than a sort through a spreadsheet.
The summary above it
Total clients and how many are active. Returns filed, in progress and not started, with the filed percentage. Fees collected and fees pending. And the due date for the year with the number of days left against it — 31 August 2026 for a non-audit case in AY 2026-27.
Assessee types on the roll. A client is created as one of ten categories, and the category decides the form:
Individual HUF Firm LLP AOP BOI Local Authority AJP Co-op Society Company
Individual and HUF clients are routed through the form selector; the firm-class categories file ITR-5.
Two ways to add a client. Type the PAN and name in, or upload last year’s ITR JSON and let it fill the identity, address and bank details for you — see last year’s return as the starting point.
Where the dashboard leads
Clicking a client opens that client’s return. Everything else on this site is what happens after that click.
Preparing the return
ITR-1 to ITR-7, both regimes compared, the computation sheet and the JSON the portal accepts.
